My youngest, Hayley, and I have been having a wonderfully lazy Saturday. Don’t you just need that once in a while? It’s been so nice to not have to be anywhere, not only because it’s fun to be lazy, but also because it happens to be snowin like the dickens outside and the roads are treacherous. It’s best to stay put.
I’ve cleaned up the kitchen from the preparation of last night’s beignets, which I made to have while watching How to Train Your Dragon. Awesome movie, by the way. You really should watch it if you haven’t already. We loved it! I’ve also put in a couple of loads of laundry today, (yay me!), and we’ve watched a lot of tv. Aaaaw yes….having nothing to do is glorious.
At one point, Hayley asked me to “put on my face,” (one of my mom’s phrases), so that we could head outside. She then asked if I’d be her model today so that she could work on her photography. Of course I thought this sounded like a lot of fun and off we went. The below pictures are some of the outcome. Personally, I think she’s doing quite well. Keep in mind that I was getting pretty cold towards the end and I think my grumpiness shows on my face. I’m not a girl who likes the extreme elements, especially when I can’t feel my toes. humpf!
What did you do on your Saturday? Was it as laid back as mine?
I like the combo of color, black and white and sepia photos she did. Enjoy.
