My family loves fish and loves spicy food. That being said, what’s more perfect than blackened fish? The two types of fish that I seem to blacken most frequently are catfish and tilapia. As far as I’m concerned, any fish would be good with this mixture of oh so yummy spices, but I seem to reach for those two more often. Hmmm….go figure.
What’s your favorite pairing? I love asparagus and this time I even put the blackening spice on it. Let’s just say that I had no complaints whatsoever. I hope you’ll enjoy this recipe as well.
Bring on the fish!
Mix together the lovely spices.
Put your rinsed and dried fish on a foil lined baking sheet. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and then sprinkle generously with the blackening spices.
Bake until flaky but not dry. This should take about 15 to 20 minutes at 375. I also put extra virgin olive oil and the spice mixture on the asparagus and cooked it for the same amount of time in the oven on a separate rack. I’d also made some marinated tomatoes to complete the meal…
And this is what happened. Success! 🙂
