I’m an impatient person, especially when it comes to food. I even snack when cooking because I don’t have the willpower to wait until the food is done. Shocking….I know.
A few days ago I posted the Cauliflower Parmesan Soup and then the Fennel Celery Salad With A Dill Citrus Dressing , but what I forgot to tell you is that I also really needed dessert that day and I needed it FAST! Do you ever get like that? Am I normal? Be nice.
So I ran to the fridge….well, I didn’t really run, but I’m pretty sure I walked rather quickly. Aaaaaanywaaaay….I threw open the doors of the fridge (still being overly dramatic) and poked around until I found the lovely package of blueberry scones from Trader Joes. No, I didn’t make homemade scones. That wouldn’t be a superfast dessert, now would it? Sassy today, huh?
I knew I needed more than just the scones. I was looking for something and then noticed the Meyers Lemons. Voila! A glaze! Yea baby! (very excitable today too)
The rest is history. Here you go…..
Break open the package of scones, place them on a cookie sheet and bake them according to the directions. Now, wipe the sweat off your face because you’re almost done.
Now just drizzle the lemony delicicousness onto your scones. Dessert is ready. Now make your tea and decide whether or not to share.
Here’s your printable.
- 1 package of break apart blueberry scones
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 to 2 lemons, depending on how juicy they are
- Bake the scones according to the package directions and then cool.
- Mix together the sugar, zest and lemon juice.
- Drizzle the glaze on your scones.
